North Carolina Green Book Hotel

Our North Carolina Green Book Hotel pays homage in the Legends room to the sporting legends that stayed with us, such as baseball players Jackie Robinson and Satchel Page, and the greatest light heavyweight boxer, Ezzard Charles. Through its casually elegant and masculine decor including a thematic plaid wallpaper and leather elements, we honor these amazing sportsmen.

For much of the early 20th Century, black athletes were forbidden from competing professionally. Trailblazers like Jackie Robinson and others helped open up sports to these great legends. In this room, we honor the memory of amazing athletes like Muhammad Ali, Jack Johnson, Willie Mays, and others
