The International Civil Rights Museum

Located in downtown Greensboro the museum is the site of thor original Woolworths in which students staged a non-violent protest against segregation. Open Mon-Sat and we recommend booking a tour even though they do allow walk-ins.

Monday is for members only but they are open Tues-Sun for non-members. A fun experience for kids of all ages with more than 20+ exhibits. Interaction is the key to this museum and a hands-on experience is encouraged. A great place to wear the kids out for the day. Also fun outing for adults.

Guilford Courthouse National Military Park

This National Park is a great place to go for a run or walk in nature or to enjoy the outdoors with a picnic. It commemorates the Battle of Guilford Court House, fought on March 15, 1781. This was the start of the American Revolutionary War.
