The Baldwin room, at our Greensboro, bed and breakfast is dedicated to the writers and intellectuals like James Baldwin and Carter G. Woodson, features a neutral palette of black and white, and is accented with patterned elements.
Carter G. Woodson was the son of former slaves and an American historian and founder of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. He has been often called the father of “black history”. We also honor James Baldwin who was an American novelist, playwright, poet, and activist.
To keep the authenticity and for guests to have the full experience of the original Green Book Hotel this room has a shared bathroom.
